MECHANISMS OF ABSENCE (2025)

The work transforms office blinds taken from the abandoned Nitrofert building in Kohtla-Järve into a motorized installation. Their repetitive opening and closing evoke rhythm, memory, and the temporal residue of industrial systems, a mechanism that  persists even after human activity has ceased. 

Fragments of a vanished world continue their function without purpose. The work transforms an object of Funcionality into a gesture of temporality, presence, and decay.
